documents when 3D CAD models change
When 3D CAD designs change, entire documents created in
QuadriSpace can be updated automatically.
-
Close the current
Document.
- Open the
example file “[YOUR INSTALLATION DIRECTORY]/Tutorial
5/tutorial_5_final.qsd”. This will open a document that is
designed for print publishing.
- Use the scroll
bar to the right of the page to review the 3 page document. Notice
the color of the housing, the lack of holes in the housing and the
lack of holes in the gear.
- Click one of
the 3D views.
-
Select the
Configurations Ribbon and click on the Update Button to
bring up the update tool.
-
Click the ‘…’ or
browse button next to the file name in the “Current Path” column.
Now, select the file “[YOUR INSTALLATION
DIRECTORY]/Tutorial 5/revised_design.SLDASM” and press OK.
-
Press the Update Models Button.
After the progress bar completes, press the Done Button.
-
Flip through the document and notice
that all of the views have been updated with the revised 3D model.
Also notice that exploded views, markups and viewpoint created
with QuadriSpace were maintained.

Update entire
