Tutorial 6: Enhanced 3D tools improve effectiveness of  3D communication

Pages3D includes powerful, yet easy-to-use tools for modifying materials, editing render styles, applying section planes, and more.

1. Close All documents
2. Open the example file “[YOUR INSTALLATION DIRECTORY]/Tutorial 2/tutorial_2_final.qsd.
3. To modify a specific material in your 3D view, select the Model Ribbon. From the Materials Group, select the Pick Material tool. Now, click on the part in the 3D view for which you would like to modify the material. This will display the material settings that can be changed.
4. When done editing the material, click ‘Done’’ in the top right corner above the page to close the material picker.
5. To modify the render style for the entire scene, select the 3D View Ribbon. For starters, click on the pull-down arrow below the button labeled “Draw Style” and select “Hidden Lines Removed”. Notice that this is immediately applied to the 3D view. Render Style can be modified extensively for custom 3D look, you can also click on the Extended Group Properties Button to display the Advanced Render Style panel. Try the new Hidden Lines Dashed Render Style.
