documents by quickly importing Word file (.doc) into a text box. Imported
text retains the formatting from the Word document.
Enhanced Document Tools
Create sections to organize
your document and automatically number pages. Add headers and footers to
your documents.
Improved "Active Tables"
Active Tables can be added
to documents to leverage meta-data from your 3D CAD files. With this
release, these tables now support multiple columns of information.
Precise 3D view setup
Use
3D viewpoint tools to select a view location from a library of industry
standard axonometric views. Create precision custom views by dialing in
rotation and offset angles.
Powerful 3D Reduction Tools

Reduce the size and increase the performance of interactive documents
published to PDF, web, executable or CD-ROM.
Create discrete step-by-step instructions from a 3D models; use the
timeline editor to easily modify the timing between steps.
Organize 3D snapshots into an ordered list of "key frames". Using this
visual editor, you can quickly modify timing and transitions between
snapshots to create a custom animation.
Custom Bill-of-Materials Editor
Create custom part lists, or bill-of-materials from your 3D CAD models in
a snap. This full-featured editor includes features that let you choose
custom numbering settings, create a BOM from a subassembly, reorder the
list of parts, add columns, add custom entries, override quantities and
call-numbers and much more. Bill-of-materials tools even support part
properties such as phantom, reference, purchased and inseparable.
Export Bill-of-Materials to CSV
Save
your bill-of-materials as a CSV file for easy import into Excel. BOMs can
be matched to snapshots and callouts providing an easy way to keep
illustrations and associated BOMs organized.
Model Editing Tools
-
Tools to easily reduce polygons in large models to improve performance
and reduce final file size.
-
Continue to create discrete step-by-step instructions, but edit
individual step timing with the new timeline editor.
-
Add visual trails to show exploded view or animation paths.
-
Support for a new scaling step type. This allows users to animate things
such as springs.
-
Support for a new face axis option for step creation. This will let
users created offsets and rotations that are off-axis from the main axis
coordinate system.
-
Custom bill-of-materials creation and organization tools
-
Support for phantom parts and other BOM concepts. Once a part is defined
as a certain type, BOMs treat each differently.
-
Support for overriding item quantities in a bill-of-materials.
-
Ability to create multiple custom BOMs in a single document. These BOMs
can each be created from a user selected set of parts, a sub-assembly or
the entire model.
-
BOMs includes the ability to choose starting call number and to manually
modify callouts in a BOM as necessary.
-
Support for “non-part” entries in a Bill of Materials (BOM).
-
Render style includes transparency settings.
-
Storyboard tool to easily set up timing and transitions between
snapshots
